3D secure
3D Secure technology is a global protocol developed by the international payment systems VISA and MasterCard that enhances the security of online transactions made with payment cards. In the MasterCard payment system, this service is called “MasterCard Secure Code,” while in the VISA payment system, it is known as “Verified by VISA” Websites that support the technology have the following icons.
How to join:
Contact 196 Information Center of Kapital Bank to activate the service. The customer can access the service using the following type of authentication:
Dynamic:
If the dynamic option is chosen, the cardholder registers their personal phone number with the service. A one-time security code is then sent to this number for every online transaction, which the customer enters in the payment page.
Advantages:
Real-time verification of the cardholder’s identity – transactions are confirmed using a security code known only to the Bank and the customer
Ensures the card cannot be used online by scammers
Prevention of financial losses resulting from fraudulent activities
You have the right to contest fraud on sites that do not support this technology (transferring responsibility for any losses to the website owner)
For your information:
- When resetting your PIN, refrain from choosing repetitive or sequential combinations like 1111 or 1234
- For your security, do not use the same PIN for all of your payment cards
