SMS Banking 

SMS Banking is a service package offered by “Kapital Bank” OJSC in cooperation with mobile operators Azercell, Bakcell, Nar, and Naxtel4G for its payment card users. All types of payment card holders of “Kapital Bank” can benefit from this service.

What features does the SMS Banking service provide?

  • Receiving SMS notifications for every transaction made using your payment card;

Service commission fees:

  • The commission fee for fund transfers is 1% (minimum 1 AZN) for salary cards, while for debit cards the commission is 0%. 

How to join? 

Terms of service: 

  • Via “Kapital Bank” ATMs;
  • Select the language for service;
  • Enter your FIN-code;
  • Select the “SMS Banking” service in the ATM menu;
  • In the “SMS Banking” menu, select the “Activate” option;
  • Enter your mobile phone number and press the “Continue” button;
  • Select the language for SMS notifications to be sent to your number;
  • Please, confirm your request to activate SMS Banking;
  • A receipt confirming your subscription to the SMS Banking service will be printed, and a message will be sent to the mobile phone number you provided. 

By calling the 196 Information Center:

  • Call the 196 number at any time of the day;
  • Provide the 16-digit number on your payment card;
  • Provide your secret code (PIN);
  • Provide the mobile phone number you wish to register for the SMS Banking service;
  • A message confirming your subscription to the SMS Banking service will be sent to your phone number. 

Via “Birbank” application:

  • From the main menu, go to the “Cards” section;
  • Select your card;
  • Press the “Details” button;
  • Select the “Settings” option in the displayed window;
  • Select the SMS Banking service;
  • Select the “Add Number” option;
  • Enter your mobile phone number;
  • Select the language for SMS notifications to be sent to your number;
  • Press the “Save” button. 

How to deactivate SMS Banking service?

Via “Kapital Bank” ATMs:

  • Insert your card into the ATM;
  • Select the language for service;
  • Enter your FIN-code;
  • Select the “SMS Banking” service in the ATM menu;
  • In the “SMS Banking” menu, select the “Cancel” option;
  • Enter your mobile phone number;
  • Please, confirm your request to deactivate SMS Banking;
  • A receipt confirming the deactivation of the SMS Banking service will be printed.

Via “Birbank” application: 

  • From the main menu, go to the “Cards” section;
  • Select your card;
  • Press the “Details” button;
  • Choose the “Settings” option in the displayed window;
  • Choose the SMS Banking service;
  • Select the “Delete” option;
  • Please, confirm your request to deactivate SMS Banking.
