Changes to Card Top-up Limits

Changes to Card Top-up Limits

To support secure and reliable digital payments across the country, all banks are introducing new limits on incoming card funding transactions.

Starting 6 August 2026, each Birbank card may receive funds up to 5 times per day, with a maximum total of AZN 20 000 per month.

✅ The limits apply separately to each card, not to the customer as a whole. This means that if a customer has several cards, each card will have its own individual limit.

✅ Transactions between a customer’s own cards are not included in these limits. You can continue to send and receive money between your own Birbank cards without restriction.

✅ Card funding transactions made through payment terminals such as Milliön, eManat, Pulz and MPay are not included in these limits. You can also fund your card without restriction through Birbank ATMs and payment terminals.

✅ Business cards are automatically exempt from these limits.

✅ The limits apply equally to customers of all banks.
